The U12 Girls had a great tournament and played in the gold medal match, which they lost in a shoot-out.  Congratualtions to the team, they are Silver medalists.

Bronze medals at the Calgary Giddy Up Cup

These are pictures from the 2011 Slurpee Cup U10 girls silver medal winner Hardisty Blue Thunder.

During the round robin, the girls recorded three consecutive shut outs to earn the maximum
of 12 points.  Despite a great effort, they came up short in the gold/silver crossover final.
I am very proud of the girls as 8 of the 11 are first year players and they played according
to our team motto "have fun, play hard, teamwork, and learning/using skills".

They were rewarded for their effort and success with a special cupcake cake.  Thank you Katherine.

A special thanks to all of the parents, families, and friends who supported the girls all weekend.
It was particularly appreciated on Friday night when it was rainy, windy, and only 5 degrees.
